Hello my cruising fam,

A question I've been asked a lot is a pretty fun one: What type of drinks should you try when you cruise Carnival? Well, I'm happy to oblige and provide my awesome cruisers, and of course the newbies to the cruising crowd, not just a list of drinks, but the actual bar menu and prices themselves, so you can easily plan ahead and see if purchasing the Carnival CHEERS Package is right for you. I'll be releasing my take on if it's worth it to me, soon.

Remember, whether you bought the cruise lines' drink package or not, feel free to visit these different venues and try out these delicious drinks so you can really feel like you are on you vacation. A lot of them have discounted drink specials, happy hours, and great entertainment. With these 26 unique bars and areas on the ship, you are bound to find a new favorite place to hang out and sip your adult beverages. I'll be going through these alphabetically to make things a bit easier, and I'll be sure to note which ships offer which venues, too!

“I don't have a drinking problem, 'cept when I can't get a drink." —Tom Waits

**Please note that some alcoholic drinks can also be great mocktails, so if you don't want alcohol, no problem! Just look for, or ask the bar staff, for 'virgin' or 'zero proof' drinks.

Also, be aware that ALL cocktails and drinks will have an added 18% gratuity, per drink, unless you pre-purchased the drink package. If you'd like to learn more about Carnival's gratuity structure please click here.

Don't forget to drink responsibility, and if you are drinking a lot of alcohol, you might want to bring some hydration sticks to help you recover quicker.

Finally, just click the images to expand to see the associated menu and prices. And with that, away we go to talk about the 26 drink venues you need to try while cruising Carnival.

1. Alchemy Bar-On All Carnival Ships

Alchemy Bar is a favorite among our seasoned Carnival cruising crowd. With it's high-end and unique cocktails, definitely give it a try. My pick for this venue is The Perfect Storm, but if alcohol isn't your thing, ask the master mixologists for a zero-proof drink for only $7!

2. Atrium Bar-On All Ships

This bar is likely the first one you encounter when you board the ship--the Atrium Bar! They could have different names, but they are obviously located in the atrium area of the ship. They have a robust menu from tropical classics to beer and wine offerings. Save some money by buying a bucket of beer if you didn't purchase the drink package.

3. Bar Della Rosa-Only on Carnival Mardi Gras

This is one of Carnival's newest places to find drinks like 'vino' by the glass or bottle, and they even offer coffee drinks if you need some java in your veins. I'm happy to say my favorite wine is listed here: Lambrusco! Hopefully this venue will come to more of the fleet in the future.

4. Blue Iguana Tequila Bar-All Ships but Mardi Gras & Celebration

This is the bar for you if you love being poolside! Located right on the Lido by the pool, if you want to get your drink on while taking in some sun, Blue Iguana is a great option, especially with all the refreshing Zero Proof drink to choose from.

5. Bonsai Sushi-Drinks Not Available on Ecstasy, Elation, Freedom, & Miracle

This isn't just a great place to dine on delicious sushi, it's a good place to find a specialty cocktail. I recommend the Bonsai Bellini, which is delicious.

6. Brass Magnolia Bar-Only on Mardi Gras

This bar is another newer venue, only on the Mardi Gras. You'll find it in the French Quarter Zone of the ship. From cocktails to wine and specialty beers, head over and try one if you're sailing the Mardi Gras soon.

7. Casino Bar-Not on Horizon, Vista, or Panorama

If you are one of those people that love playing in the casino on the ship, definitely check out the casino bar if you're feeling thirsty. I suggest trying the craft beers (my fav is the Caribbean Wheat), but feel free to sample anything you want. Menu is from April 2022.

8. Fahrenheit 555 / Steakhouse- All Carnival Ships

Located on all Carnival ships, this specialty restaurant known for yummy, high-end food fare may have differing names (like the Nouveau Steakhouse on the Carnival Legend), but one thing is for certain...Enjoy some delicious wine with that steak! Pro tip: Go on embarkation day for free house wine, or on formal night for 50% off wine bottles.

9. Fortune Teller Bar- Only on Mardi Gras

Looking for unique cocktails? Well, hit up the Fortune Teller Bar, exclusively on Mardi Gras. I recommend the Bog Juice to try!

10. Guy’s Pig & Anchor Smokehouse and Brewhouse-Only on Celebration, Horizon, Mardi Gras, & Panorama

This specialty restaurant is sure to please those BBQ taste-buds, but they offer great drinks as well. Not sure what you like? Try the Hog Sampler if you are looking for yummy brews. Pro tip: If you like beer, try the Brewery Tour for about $30 per person.

11. Havana Bar- Only on Celebration, Horizon, Jubilee, Mardi Gras, Panorama, & Vista

This bar is specifically for people booked in specialty Havana rooms on the newer ships. So, if you are hanging out in the Havana area, I recommend the Havana Especial, on the rocks.

12. Heroes Tribute Bar-On Panorama

This is a new venue that is going to popping up on more ships, and it's an area that honors those who served to keep our country safe. This area is close to my heart since I was a Marine brat growing up, and I am now married to my husband, who's in the Navy. So, head here for an awesome, military inspired space and grab a drink in a cool souvenir glass.

13. Java Blue Café-All Ships

This is THE coffee place on board Carnival ships. If the ship doesn't have Java Blue, it's just called by a different name. And with plenty of spiked beverages, you can energize your senses with a delicious adult cup o' joe.

14. Main Dining Room-All Ships

We can't forget about the Main Dining Room, right? This is where delicious food is delivered right to your table, along with any other drink purchases you'd like to make.

15. Night Club-All Ships

This is for those that love to get your jam on in a club setting. Usually opening at 10 pm, feel free to indulge on these cocktails, shooters, and other delicious drinks. I recommend getting the fun Disco Ball souvenir cup with Rum Punch Fever, so you can have a memento to remember forever--your cruise clubbing nights.

16. Ocean Plaza Bar-Only Select Ships

If you're on one of the following ships, head to the Ocean Plaza Bar to try drinks like the Mango Rum Punch. This bar is on the Carnival Breeze, Carnival Dream, Carnival Horizon, Carnival Magic, Carnival Panorama, and Carnival Vista.

17. Piano Bar 88-All Ships

This bar is for those that love to sing along with the best tunes. While you're grooving with the music, be sure to get yourself some ice cold brews or even zero-proof drinks like The Entertainer.

18. Punchliner Comedy Club-All Ships

This is one of my favorite places on a Carnival cruise ship because they always have the BEST comedians. I also get there early to order myself a beverage, like the very strong, aptly named Punchliner.

19. Red Frog Pub-Select Ships

This is the awesome Caribbean-themed indoor bar that’s usually located on the lower level of many Carnival ships. Don't get it confused with the Rum Bar (below). You can find it on the Breeze, Freedom, Legend, Magic, Miracle, Pride, Radiance, Splendor, Spirit, Sunshine, Sunrise, and Valor. I like that they offer their craft beer flights and have a rum sampler. Pro tip: Embarkation day, they have half off happy hour specials, usually until 3 pm.

20. Red Frog Rum Bar-Most Ships

This is located in the Lido Deck, by the pool area on almost every Carnival ship. It is quite different from the Red Frog Pub (above). Note that on the Carnival Mardi Gras and Celebration, it’s been 'upgraded' to a two-story pool-side venue called the Red Frog Tiki Bar (Below) with a differing menu.

21. Red Frog Tiki Bar-Select Ships

This is the newer Tiki Bar that is a supersized version of the Red Frog Rum Bar, with a dash of the Red Frog Pub. You can find this cool, two-story venue on the Carnival Mardi Gras and Carnival Celebration.

22. Rudi’s Seagrill-Select Ships

This is a higher-end seafood restaurant found on select ships--Carnival Mardi Gras and Carnival Celebration. There are a few specialty cocktails that can only be found at this venue such as the Polaris.

23. Serenity Bar-All Ships

Crave more quiet, child-less areas? The Serenity Area is the adults-only (21+) area that’s found on every Carnival ship, which also offers it's own drink menu so you can try a plethora of different options.

24. SkyBox Sports Bar-Select Ships

This is a great spot to watch a game and sample some delicious All-Star Margaritas or draft beers. You can currently find the Sports Bar on the Carnival Conquest, Freedom, Glory, Horizon, Liberty, Miracle, Pride, Spirit, Radiance, Sunrise, Sunshine, Valor, and Vista.

25. Tides Bar-All Ships

The Tides Bar is a comfortable, outdoor bar on the aft, or back, of each Carnival ship. They offer tropical classics, and even a 'Kids Faves', alcohol-free section. On some ships it could have a different name, but it’ll have essentially the same menu.

26. Watering Hole-Select Ships

This is our last drink spot! But it's only on select ships, currently. The Watering Hole Bar is located in the Summer Landing Zone on the Carnival Mardi Gras, Carnival Celebration, and Carnival Jubilee. While it only offers a few specialty drink choices, they all sound delicious!
